Nine Dragons Review

So I ate at Nine Dragons the other day. I was able to get out of there without consuming too many calories. Here is a perfect example of how if you don't carefully plan at Disney, your diet can quickly get away from you.

Here is the menu: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/media/wdw_nextgen/CoreCatalog/WaltDisneyWorld/en_us/Media/InternetMediaType/Dining/NineDragons/nine-dragons-menu-dinner.pdf

I started with the Shrimp and Taro Lollipops. This is described as a, "Playful take on a traditional Dim Sum favorite, served with special Wu Xiang Dipping Sauce." What they failed to mention was that the shrimp was completely deep fried. Yuck. I'll post a pic above.

So here is what I found that was okay. I had the Zha Jiang Noodles Sampler described as, "Fun and interactive - Mix and match your own noodles with fresh Vegetables and two classic Zha Jiang Sauces – savory-sweet Minced Pork and spicy Diced Chicken 19.98" I like the fact that you essentially get several small bowls of vegetables and you can create your own dish.

This is a trick I also use with Mexican restaurants. Instead of ordering something with cheese melted on it, I tend to order dishes you mix and match at your table so you have some control. I order fajitas and just eat them with chicken and the vegetables. I leave off the sour cream, cheese, and guacamole.

For drink I had the Diet Coke as always, and I filled up on that. I also ate 2 apples before my meal so that I was less tempted to deviate from my diet.
